  • Problems Worth Attention For Vacuum System Design
    Jun 26, 2018

    (1) When vacuum elements, such as valves, traps, dust collectors, and vacuum pumps are connected to each other, the pumping line should be made as short as possible, and the pipe flow should be as large as possible. The diameter of the pipe is generally not less than the diameter of the pump port, which is an important principle of vacuum system design. But at the same time, it is necessary to consider the ease of installation and overhaul. Sometimes the mechanical pump is allowed to be located in the pump room near the vacuum chamber to prevent vibration and reduce noise.

    (2) The mechanical pump (including the Roots pump) has vibrations. To prevent the vibration from affecting the entire system, the hose is usually used to reduce vibration. There are two kinds of hoses, metal and non-metal, whichever type of hose is used to ensure that it is not compressed under atmospheric pressure.

    (3) After the vacuum system is completed, it should be easy to measure and leak. The actual production tells us that vacuum systems are often prone to leaks that affect production during the work process. In order to quickly find the leak hole, segmented leak detection is to be carried out. Therefore, for each section enclosed by a valve, there must be at least one measurement point for measurement and leak detection.

    (4) Valves and pipelines provided in the vacuum system should allow the system to pump out in a short time, be easy to use, and be safe and reliable.

    (5) The design of the vacuum system shall ensure that the exhausting is stable and reliable, also, the installation, disassembly and maintenance are easy, and the operation is convenient. The connection between the components is interchangeable.

    (6) New technologies should be adopted in the vacuum system design to achieve automatic control and interlock protection.

    (7) Vacuum system design requires energy conservation, cost reduction, and ease using.
