    Commonly used carburizing gases include propane, methane, acetylene, natural gas, etc., in order to prevent the production of carbon black in the process, the purity of the gas is required to be greater than 96%, and can be properly filled with nitrogen for dilution and diffusion.
The flow rate of carburizing gas is appropriate to increase the pressure in the furnace by 133.33Pa/s. At present, the main carburizing medium used in vacuum carburizing heat treatment at home and abroad is C3H8 (propane) and C2H2 (acetylene). Vacuum carburizing temperature is generally between 920 ~ 1080℃, the specific choice according to the need to deal with the type of parts, shape characteristics and carburizing layer depth to determine.
