According to the electrochemical properties between the coating and the substrate metal, it can be divided into the anodic coating and negative coating. When the potential of the coating relative to the matrix metal is negative, the coating is the anode, called anodic coating, such as galvanized layer on steel; When the potential of the coating relative to the matrix metal is positive, the coating is the cathode, known as negative polarity coating, such as nickel coating on steel, tin coating and so on.
