Modern electrophoretic coating mostly uses cathode electrophoretic coating, which has good corrosion resistance and high permeability. Today, more than 90 percent of automobile bodies use a cathodic electrophoretic coating to coat primer or undercoat. Some researchers successfully applied polyurethane coating on the surface of TA4 titanium alloy by cathodic electrophoresis coating method. Compared with the titanium alloy matrix, the biocompatibility of the titanium-polyurethane coating was significantly improved, and the excellent mechanical properties of the titanium substrate were maintained.
