Diamond-like coating or DLC coating is a kind of amorphous film, which can be basically divided into two kinds of diamond-like coating containing hydrogen (A-C :H) coating and diamond-like coating without hydrogen. The content of hydrogen in DLC coating is between 20at.% and 50at.%, and the sp3 composition is less than 70%. Tetrahedral amorphous carbon (TA-C) films are common in hydrogen-free DLC coatings. Ta-c coating is mainly composed of SP3 bond, and the content of SP3 is generally higher than 70%.
Diamond-like coating or DLC coating is a metastable amorphous substance with diamond structure (SP3 bond) and graphite structure (SP2 bond), and carbon atoms are mainly bonded by sp3 and SP2 hybrid bond.
