Glow discharge color in a vacuum discharge

1. Argon, rose red to light red in cathode glow area, blue in negative glow area and purple in positive glow area.
2. Nitrogen, rose in cathode glow area, blue or purple in negative glow area, orange or red-yellow in positive glow area.
3. Helium, cathode glow zone red, negative glow zone light green, positive glow zone purple to yellow to light red.
Neon, cathode zone yellow, negative zone dark red, positive zone red.
5. Oxygen, cathode zone red, negative zone purple, positive zone infrared lemon yellow.
6. Air, rose in cathode glow area, blue to pink in negative glow area, pink in positive glow area, blue under low pressure.
7. Water vapor: cathode glow area blue and white, negative glow area blue, positive glow area light blue.
8. Hydrogen: brown to reddish in negative glow zone, pale blue in negative glow zone, red to pink in positive glow zone.

Vacuum glow color under different pressure:
0.1 -- 1Pa fluorescence -- gray white 1 -- 10Pa pink -- red 10 -- 100Pa purplish red, the higher the vacuum, the redder 100 -- 1000Pa purplish violet beam
