There are a large number of impurities and defects in solar-grade silicon monocrystalline and polysilicon materials, which introduce deep energy levels in crystalline silicon and significantly reduce the life of minority carriers in silicon, thus affecting the short-circuit current of solar cells and the conversion efficiency of the cell;
2. The passivation effect of PECVD deposition of silicon nitride film on solar cells is the passivation of impurities and defects in the substrate silicon by hydrogen-rich in the film;
3. The H in the film can enter the silicon crystal, passivate the defect in the silicon, reduce the surface state density, inhibit the surface recombination of the battery, increase the minority carrier life, and thus improve the Isc and Voc of the solar cell;

4. Hydrogen atoms bind to the suspension bonds at defects or grain boundaries, thereby eliminating the activity of grain boundaries to a certain extent.
