Brass is an alloy composed of copper and zinc, because of its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, widely used in electrical, plumbing, and musical instrument manufacturing. Material characteristics: good machinability, corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and strong wear resistance. Recommended tools: High-speed steel (HSS) or tungsten steel (cemented carbide) tools can be coated to improve wear resistance.
